Calisthenics

The term Calisthenics is derived from the Greek words ‘kalos’, meaning beautiful and ‘sthenos’, which means strength. When you practise calisthenics, you make use of your own body weight to acquire strong muscles and a balanced and athletic body. No dumb-bells or weights are used: you just pull, push and carry your own body.
 
Calisthenics combines various exercises with your own body weight, allowing you to address all of your muscle groups. The exercises can be fairly simple but also look really impressive.

The calisthenics rack on the Olympos forecourt.

 

Safety regulations
In order to provide a safe environment it is important that everyone observes the safety rules and regulations. Make sure that you take note of all the regulations before you come to Olympos. Click here to read them

 

These additional rules apply:  

  • Wash your hands and preferably bring your own hand sanitizer
  • The use of anti-skid powder when exercising on the rack is recommended. Bring your own. 

 

Registration
Registration for this course is possible from two week before the start of the course period. You can register online, by adding the course to your shopping trolley, or at the Service Desk. An OlymPas is required if you want to follow this course. Your OlymPas must be valid until at least the last week of the course. If you do not have an OlymPas yet, you can buy one when (online) booking your lesson. Check the rates
