Tai chi

Tai Chi Tao is a thousands of years old Chinese exercise and relaxation method and was originally developed as an art of self-defence. The interplay of slow, flowing movements relax your body and, consequently, your mind and your flexibility. It is also called a ‘moving meditation’ method.

Tai chi is an exercise method that comprises seemingly simple exercises. In this simplicity, however, lies its strength: the exercises combine calmness and relaxation with physical activity. It furthers the physical health and mental wellbeing.

During the classes, the Tai Chi principles will be focused on by conducting various exercises and learning how to perform ‘the form’. The form is a series of movements that smoothly follow and run into each other. Each movement is executed slowly and with proper consideration. More profound attention is paid to the martial application of the movements and the underlying principles.

What you will start to notice is that Tai Chi charges you up and provides you with enough energy for the rest of the day. In addition, you will find that after a while you will rarely be ill and more easily be able to handle the everyday stress and mayhem. This is because Tai Chi is based on the same foundations as acupuncture.

Are you looking for a way to:

• Improve your balance and coordination?
• Refine you motor skills?
• Have both parts of your brain interact better?
• Be active with a minimal chance of injuries?
• Work towards the recovery of joint complaints (e.g. wrist, neck, shoulders)?
• Improve the level of your energy and health?

Why not try Tai Chi?!
